Why MHH?
I have lost a parent to cancer, and am also a cancer survivor. I understand the heart-ache that cancer can cause and the additional financial stress. To me, providing scholarships to cancer survivors is a way to reward those extremely resilient fighters with a brighter future.

How do you define success?
Success is measured by personal growth. Whether it be in the form of improving GPA's, graduations, or even beating cancer, if you keep moving forward, pushing yourself to new extremes, and accomplishing your own personal goals, then you are a success in my book.

Profession and how you help people
I am a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering. Today, I help college students learn engineering principles as a teaching assistant and my hope is that one day my academic research leads to new discoveries and/or tools that will improve cancer patients.
