The application process to qualify for a Fall 2020 scholarship is open between November 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020. Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for funding…

  • Young adult survivor of cancer between the ages of 17 and 39 years old. Does not matter when you were diagnosed.
  • Must be a resident of the United States of America
  • Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a University, Community College, or Trade School

Applying for a college scholarship is much like applying and interviewing for a job. The quality or your responses will influence our selection committee.

At My Hometown Heroes, anyone who qualifies for a scholarship is a champion in our book. Qualified candidates have access to a wide variety of resources to help beef up your resume, receive mentorship, acquire an internship or other shared resources that support the young adult cancer survivor population.

We like to think that if you are selected as a recipient, well that’s icing on the cake.
